COMMUNITY
With apologies to OGRC for last month's Community section we are running the full article again.
COMMUNITY takes a look this month at the OHIO GAY RIGHTS COALITION (OGRC). OGRC was founded in 1977 to unify the Gay/Lesbian rights movement in Ohio by spurisoring cooperative statewide educational and political projects and by improving communications among active groups and individuals. It is a non-profit coalition of organizations and individuals working to end discrimination against people on the basis of their sexual and/or affectional orientation. Their ' commitment to this change is exemplified by their activities in legislative lobbying, public education and community organizing OGRC has organized and staffed the Gay/Lesbian information booth at the Ohio State Fair since 1978. Membership in OGHC for individuals is $15.00 ($7.50 after July 1) and for organizations is $20.00 or $4.00+ a work pledge on an OGRC project. You can contact the OGRC at P.O. Box 8393, Columbus, Ohio 43201.
The COMMUNITY CALENDAR was established to serve all of the HIGH GEAR circulation area. If your group has an item they would like listed on the CALENDAR, please send the information to HIGH GEAR, COMMUNITY CALENDAR, P.O. Box 6177. Cleveland, Oh. 44101.
